A way better way to practice Spanish verb conjugation.
What is included in the sale ?
Domain name, code, database. Only things not included are the server and my SendGrid account.
This took me 20 total hours to build. So price =
* 120 (rate)
* 0.20 (multiplier for being an idiot who always builds things that he doesn't actually want)
What is the technological stack ?
Which parts of the project are incomplete ?
It's fully functional as is, but it's not monetized in any way and not super fun for the user to use. If I were to continue doing this... oh wait, there's a different question for this below ;)
Do you have any traffic ?
Why are you selling ?
This was just a fun weekend project that I built while taking Spanish classes in Mexico City. Now I'm trying to get rid of all my old projects so I can focus all my efforts in the mental health space.
How can the future owner turn the project into a business ?
If it were me: I'd keep the current version, as is, free forever. And then I'd add a premium version that robotically helped the student practiced the things she most needed to learn. That is, it would learn, based on her answers (which are already stored) what tenses, verbs, etc, she was already good at. And which she struggled with. You could also use verb usage information (already in DB) to smartly teach the most popular verbs, first, and then move on to more complicated ones only later.
Then make a placement test so a user can skip past present tense conjugations of common verbs, for example. Because it'll be frustrating if every user has to start at the same place.
Down the line I'd add some machine learning so each student can benefit off the experiences of other students.
Then you could talk with different in-person Spanish schools about maybe offering a human backed version.
So you have:
- $19/mo for unlimited structured lessons
- $199/mo for lessons plus live teaching
Or something along those lines.
