An intuitive tennis scoring app for iOS & Apple Watch
What is included in the sale ?
Source code for iOS application. Domain no longer under ownership.
What is the technological stack ?
Which parts of the project are incomplete ?
Project not updated to support latest iOS devices (X, XS, XR etc). All code was running effectively on iOS and Watch OS 12months ago. The code could be easily migrated to a new Firebase database instance with minimal resource or investment, after updating to support latest iOS SDKs.
Why are you selling ?
Project was a hobby project originally to get familiar with iOS development and ship own quality project. The app has a lot of potential and a clever design, and given it took 9 months of personal time to build + around $15k in external development costs - I would simply like to find a new home for the source code. I hope that someone would be able to realise its potential - without needing to embark on the same journey or without needing significant resource or investment.
How can the future owner turn your project into a business ?
The app has great potential if a new owner was able to partner with a prominent tennis blogger, personality or coaching organisation, or had access to such networks.
The scoring UI is very intuitive for those watching matches from the sidelines or for those participating in games using their Apple Watch. It has the potential to provide great training insights to trainers, clubs & coaches alike - by calculating 1st Serve %s, Aces etc and is something I have been told clubs would feel comfortable supporting, endorsing and paying a subscription for - if tournament data was made accessible via the web.
It also helps connect local players in the area, and with enough traction and local support in any city, is something that could be monetised via a subscription if enough players and users surface.
